The Road Ahead to The first Print

Recap: I've finished building a Prusa Mendel 3D printer from a kit and I've powered it on.  Now I have these steps remaining before I can print an object:

• Set Up Necessary Software
• Download the Software
• Install Arduino Mega Driver
• Upload Firmware To The Printer
• Basic Control Checks - X, Y, Z and extuder direction, limit switches, heat bed and hot ends
• Calibration
• Setting the Current in the Pololu Drivers - step 4 in this post
• X, Y, Z and extruder axis steps per unit
• Level the X carriage 
• Position Z limit switch and adjust heat bed corners
• Prime the hot end
• Make The First Print
• Overview: Going from 3-D design to printed object
• Prepare a .gcode file for printing using Slic3r
• Start the print using Pronterface
